We are trying to choose a mantle style for this fireplace. We are in a country setting, but our deocrating taste is more classic than country.

#2 is a quarter-cut log. I couldn't get it bigger. Try using the 100% zoom button in the bottom right corner of the screen, mom to see if you can get a better view.
I like for it to go al of the way across to the ends. Maybe that's just because it's what I've always had, myself. That second one is nice too. They have the big stones as well and it doesn't look lost. The third one looks swallowed up by the rocks.
